RE:TRIP WRONGLY CANCELLED ON SATURDAY 11/05/2021 BY UBER DRIVER
Saturday, 11/6/2021, I requested a trip home from Elizabeth, NJ. Waited outside as usual.
ONE MINUTE BEFORE I was to be picked up, I got a text saying the driver cancelled, by Raphael.
And then cancelled by Rafael
style="background-color: Rafael is arriving soon in a Honda CR-V (D65MXC). After arriving, they'll wait 2 minutes before charges begin for their time.. It DIDNT make sense that I was cancelled ONE MINUTE BEFORE he arrived. But I asked for another ride, guy showed up In LESS than two minutes, brought me home.
When I got home, looked at my email, I found I had been charged FIVE DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS for a CANCELLED TRIP, saying, quote, to avoid this fee in the future, only request when youre ready to go, end quote.
I WAS READY, people who know me SAW ME STANDING THERE WAITING. I was NOT at fault. I want my money returned. Its NOT the money, its the PRINCIPLE of this situation in that I WAS NOT AT FAULT, I WAS STANDING THERE WAITING.
THE DRIVER NEVER SHOWED. Again, his name is Raphael. He NEVER SHOWED.
I HAVE PROOF I WAS STANDING THERE WAITING. People saw me from church and they know I get a ride to and from church a few times.
Please see that I am refunded back the FIVE DOLLARS.
User's recommendation: Say something when you are wrongly charged. It’s NOT the money, it’s the principle of being WRONGLY cancelled.
Monetary Loss: $5.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Uber Cons: Not being able to speak with person to resolve matter.
