I am writing to formally address a serious issue I encountered with a recent package delivery through Uber. My package was sent using Uber, but it never arrived.
I contacted Uber Support via chat and was informed that the driver, Nigel, would be contacted. I was also assured that I would be contacted within 24 hours regarding the resolution of the issue.
Unfortunately, it has now been over 48 hrs since I initially reported the problem, and I have not received any updates or communication from Uber. I have called Uber Support four times, been transferred to different people, and, in some instances, hung up on. Despite all of this, the matter has yet to be resolved, and I have not received any calls, emails, or further assistance.
At this point, I am requesting a full refund for the charge associated with the ride, as well as the cost of my missing package.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the service Ive received, and due to the lack of follow-through, I no longer wish to do business with Uber in the future.
Please respond promptly to confirm the refund and resolution of this issue. If I do not hear from you within 48 hours, I will be forced to explore other avenues to address this matter.

I will NEVER EVER use Uber! They are FRAUDULENT carshare company!
These are the charges: WAITING, RESERVATION, CANCELLATION, DISTANCE & TIME! On October 5th 2024 I requested Uber & price that I received & agreed was $43.29! After my ride was completed it was $72.40! Uber said the reason was trip was taking too long but what does that got to do with me?
This is not my problem its the driver problem! K asked Uber to give me refund from difference of $72.40-$43.29= refund of $29.11 but they refused! Uber said I asked too much refund in the past! The reason is because Uber overcharged me!
This isnt first time Uber overcharged me. Dont ever take Uber!
This company needs to be shutdown PERMANENTLY so it wont rip customers off! Im disputing with my credit card company & if it doesnt work then I will make a complaint to ATTORNEY GENERAL!

I book one of this services three time on September 29, 2024 and the trips got cancelled by the driver, they charged the money for all of them and haven't received a refund three months after. I contacted them and they said they will resolve something but they haven't found a solution afterwards

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Uber refunded automatically
I cancelled the trip, so I could try again. When I did this, again no driver could be located. This time it timed out waiting for a driver. Yet again I was charged.
Money was taken from my account. I finally did get a ride though on the third attempt. Meanwhile, to talk to someone to get the refund, I was directed to the app. I tried the instructions I found, and those instructions are not as whats on the app.
Theres no contact us for a refund. I googled the cust service
number and that number is no longer in service. The chat bot doesnt understand the word refund for my transaction. Very frustrated with Uber!
Will be searching for Lyft instead even IF I get a refund. My total charge was 85.00 that they havent refunded back.

I requested a cab from Brooklyn, New York, to the Bronx, New York. The driver never allowed me to get in the cab.
The ride came up to $57.49, which was removed from my Cash App account.
I only received a partial return of $12.54. I was wondering when I would receive the other $44.95.

I booked an Uber ride for my husband which included two stops on 12:23:2024 at 12:12 PM. The Uber driver drove off and left my husband at the first stop, 658 63rd Street, and went to the second stop without him.
I had to rebook another Uber ride to take my husband to the other stop and return home for $22. I should not have had to pay $13 for a typical $8 ride because the Uber driver, Joseph, did not understand his job.

UI have too many charges on my account. One ride, one tip.
You charged me for TWO rides one tip. I had a one way trip on 12/5 for $58.80 with $13 tip.
You charged another $48.91to my credit card. This needs to be removed.

Double charged after 2 drivers canceled
I scheduled and pre-paid for Uber ride to O'Hare airport. Got notice that driver canceled and another would be coming.
Less than 10 minutes later I was notified that the second driver canceled and that I needed to order another uber ride. So I did. Third one showed up and I told him I could not get anyone on phone at Uber cuz all is through the app. He apologized.
Now I'm trying with cc issuer to get credit for the rides that were canceled by the first two uber drivers. I will only use cabs from this point forward.

Uber giving mental stress
Hi my name is jas and I am writing it all through my heart. If anyone, who can help me reading it please help me and I am also asking for help from Uber too.
My husband used to do Uber rides, he rides in New York City, but due to false reason his account is deactivated. Which is broken his heart and mind not. He is now crying and depressed. You guys (Uber)not give him any warning calls or not any email, no anything.
Just immediately shut his account off . What kinds of company you are, at one side your are helping to people and on the other side you are snatching jobs. But I cant give up. At least you need to listen to us.
If something happens to him I cant live. I cant see him like that. Please help us.
I will send all proofs and other documentation too.
I will tell my all circle friends, what Uber help me after all I am writing here. I am crying its not good thing.

I wouldn't consider this a "formal" complaint, since this is a public online forum. You need to send written correspondence to Uber's corporate address, sent certified, for it to be formal.
So, if I am understanding correctly, you were not the passenger, the "passenger" was a package and the driver did not deliver it. So, he stole it, unless someone on the other end of the package is lying to you.
If you are confident that is not the case, I'd go in person to my local police department and get a report filed with all the information you have. Include a copy of that police report in the correspondence to Uber.
