Hi Kristopher, The same thing happened to me twice within a months time on 2 different debit cards. I do not have an acct with Uber nor have I ever used Uber.

The 1st time was 3-2-22, I first contacted my bank. They canceled my card issued me a new one also gave me copy of charges, amount. Date & time. I then emailed Uber got a rep named Sumit K.

She asked me for the 3 amounts,date & first 6 & last 4 # of my card.and screenshot of charges on bank statement. I sent all of the above. Sumit got back to me very quickly inform me that the first name of the person that used my card was Jaquita & charges were for Uber in California, I live in Missouri. The 3 charges were refunded back to me from Uber within 24 hours.

Now another later on 4-28 & 29, 3 more charges show up on my acct. Now mind you this is a completely different debit acct #. So I contact my bank cancel that card get new one & all info. I then send Uber an email to same one I sent to before & I get an email back that they are no longer responding to that email that I have to send thru my Uber app, which I do not have.

So I went to help section on their website got an email, sent them all the info for the 3 charges plus screenshot. I received at least 6 different email from different reps each time saying they need this or that. They kept requesting the same info saying when they received the info they would be able to help me. I sent them the info they requested on all 6 emails.

They then tell me that they have check all their accts & can't find the charges & that I should contact my bank, which I did. They said that 2 of the charges were still pending & that Uber probably had not received yet but that 1 of the charges had definitely gone thru & they should show that they had received it. So I emailed Uber with this info & they never responded back. So I sent them another email stating that I wanted to SPEAK to a supervisor, either have one call me or give me a ,# that I could call them.

Never heard back. So I checked my bank statement today & the 2 pending charges had now gone thru. So instead of emailing, I filled out form that is on their help section on website. I get email back asking for all the same info I had already sent them at least 6-7 times.

So then I get email that this has been sent on to a department that handles these things. Pretty soon I get another email again asking me for all the info that had been sent several times before but I sent all info again. Then I receive an email telling me they can't locate charges. 1st I want to know how they getting my info 2 different accts.

2. Why can't they locate charges, they did have problem a month earlier even gave me 1st name of person that used it. 3. Why if somebody has my card info that Uber is the only place it was use both time & 3 charges each time.

And if they can tell me the first name of person who is using it then they should have more of that person's info, why don't they turn it over to the authorities for stealing someone's debit card & using it.

This isn't over, I have found a # that hopefully I can talk to a real person & get to bottom of this. Wish me luck

Left my iPhone in the Uber, and they want me to pay $15 for my phone after I tipped the diver $20!!! Customer service was not help, I needed my phone for work. And the driver said he was going home wanted to keep my phone until he was ready to bring it back. All these cared about was, was Im going to give the driver more money!!! I felt like a Victim. Gave us money we will give you your phone.

If you really worked for Uber you would know that there is a $15 charge to return items that you left behind. If the driver wants to go home, he has that right since you were the one that was careless and left your phone behind.

He is not holding your phone hostage. You signed an agreement stating that you would pay $15 for returning lost items.

You are not the victim. The driver is not being dishonest.

I did sign the agreement, but I did not read the whole thing. Too long, so I did not know about the $15 fee.

But when I was a driver for Uber I did no make passengers pay the $15 return fee. Of course I did not have passengers that left their items behind. Also I have left items behind several times and most of the drivers waived the $15 return fee. This man is greedy.

all he cares about is money and wanting the return fee. If I have to pay the $15 fee to get my items back he is stealing. I called the police about him holding my phone hostage and they said that since I signed the policy I have to pay the fee. The driver wanted to get home to his wife and children because they had not seen him all day.

It would not take that long to return my phone. I even asked for his address but he said that he did not feel comfortable giving me that information when I told him I hope he and his family die in a car crash. I was upset at this time. I should get my ride and tip refunded if he is going to charge $15.

I won't they won't get this. So to get my phone back I have to pay $15.

It is virtually impossible to reach customer support. The links don’t direct you to where you are going.

Charges with no clear explanation Avoidance of customers when they need assistance Neither the Chat or website give customers the sense there is no real desire to serve customers, but since you expect it this is what we got.

Filing a Complaint

Darrius refused to pick me up at the Union Street Station (Pick up A/B). He stated that they werent letting him in. The Security guard confirmed this was not the case. I am not paying his fee as I never got the Uber from Darius. I got charts cancellation fee of $5 which I am disputing. It was the 1st time I used Uber. Very bad experience!

I was Charged ₹357 for no reason

I travelled from indirapuram to RKP on 16 April n paid 510 cash to driver . But when I took Uber on 18 May driver asked for 456 telling me that there is outstanding bill . I was shocked to know that ..gave calls again and again to Uber but no one resolved the issue .after a struggle of about half an hour I gave up and paid 456 to Yogesh who was so rude to talk . I lodge a Complint against his behavior towards lady passenger n request the team to look into the matter and refund my money asap Thanks Regards Jassy

There is driver take extra charges from me

The driver took $45.00 cash as fare and tip. This was my first time ever using Uber. I showed the charge and said i will give her a 25% tip she sade ok. I didn't know it will also come off my card because when i order the ride today it didn't ask for my card info. On Tuesday i tried ordering an Uber that's when i put my card info in. When i canceled the ride it held my bank card #. So i paid for ride today twice one on card and Mary accepted the payment when she dropped us off at airport. I am requesting one charge and tip to be returned to my account please. Thank you

I am not cancel the ride but they are charging me

I didnt cancel but the driver canceled but they are charging me and the driver is arrogant he simply cut the phone. Usage and making complaints to Uber is very difficult

I ordered food from Whataramen After an hour I called the restaurant they said NO UBER DRIVER EVER SHOWED UP TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER it was delivered the UBER DRIVER NEVER SHOWED UP at the restraunt and the 2nd one needed an address needless to say I spent $20.16 for cold food for dinner totally unacceptable
