My husband left his phone in the Uber last night. We called the number immediately, expecting the driver to return immediately with the phone.
However, that didn't happen. I reported the lost item to Uber immediately and used their 'contact the driver' feature, but did not receive a response. Today, Uber sent an email saying the driver did not find the phone. The email suggests keeping the conversation going by simply responding to the email, but when you do that, you receive another email saying your reply was not received by customer service and to go to the app.
However, the app indicates that the issue is closed and provides no avenue for more information or any kind of response. What I want them to know is that the phone has a tracker and I tracked the phone all night until it stopped tracking. I can provide information on where the driver was and likely where he resides (several stops at this address). They should be able to verify the driver's routes and pick-ups and know he indeed has the phone.
This is extremely frustrating and a horrible way to treat customers.
I would very much like to have contact from Uber to provide more information and continue this discussion. This experience has dramatically changed my perception of Uber and the service choices I will make in the future.

All the help desk did was make it worse. They only talk to you through a chat which takes forever. None of their suggestions worked and I had to deal with them through email since I could not get online to the app.

I used Uber 4 times on 11/27/24. I was trying to catch an Uber after the 2nd ride but couldn't access my app because technically Uber didn't end the ride when it had already been taken.
I just saw Uber trying to provide another ride. So I tapped to cancel the unwanted ride, but Uber charged me a ridiculous amount instead of ending my ride after I had already taken it.

I picked up a multi order for Uber and after I picked up the first and second order I realized that the first order somehow got deleted after I dropped off which was actually supposed to be the second order. Somehow apparently in the process of me making the deliveries the first order got deleted.
There's no way it's practically impossible for a driver to cancel or delete an order after confirming pickup in ubereats. You have to have a specific reason like an emergency or something in particular and it will also show that you canceled the order. Neither of these things happened and somehow the order disappeared. So I called Uber to let them know what happened that their app glitched on me and somehow an order got deleted are Uber themselves probably canceled the order.
I'm not sure. But I'll call customer service and they proceeded to contact the customer to release their information so I can get their address to continue finished delivering the order. After I did that they told me that I would be fully conversated after delivery. So I have to turn back around and drive 8 miles in the opposite direction to deliver the order that should have already been delivered if it wasn't for their app glitching or whatever they did to delete the order.
Nowhere within my app does to show that I canceled the order or the customer canceled the order it just showed the base fare and what the expected trip fare was supposed to be and that was it. They told me that I will be fully conversated for the order after delivery. When I call them back after I dropped off the order I have a picture and everything that didn't request for me to send them the picture and the proceeded to only offer to pay me $6 after completing the order which was the complete opposite of them fully conversating me for the order which was supposed to be $15.93 total all they paid me was $3 and some change and then they offered me $6 extra. So they lie to me and they did not even fully compensate me for an order that I have to turn around and drive back an additional 8 Miles extra to the 19 Mi that I drive to deliver the order all they ended up paying me for that whole entire trip for driving 26 miles was $7 and change.
For a trip that was supposed to be $21 and change for 19 MI. They proceeded to tell me why they could not fully conversate keep in mind this is after they told me that would be fully compensated for completing the delivery on top of that I drove an additional 8 Miles. They are liars and they steal from customers and they steal from drivers and I think it is pretty pathetic that I'm a single father and Uber is out here stealing from somebody who's out here working with their own vehicle using their own gas money and I drive 26 miles to do a trip and all you give me is $7 after you lied and said that you were fully compensate me for the trip. The supervisor told me that he could do nothing to help me all they can do is escalate it.
Which is crazy after which all calls are recorded y'all told me that I will be fully conversated after completing the delivery and keep in mind that none of this is my fault and they admit to it they stated that none of it was my fault and they don't know what happened and still they refused to take care of me and make it right. Talk about unprofessional. Scammers Liars as far as I'm concerned because I'm tired of doing orders for Uber and then refusing to pay drivers for orders that they have are completed due to glitches in their app even though they're verified that you do nothing wrong they still tell you that they can't take care of you that they won't make it right. Karma is something else and they're going to get their karma.
Don't trust Uber Eats even if you work for them don't trust Uber they will steal from you any chance that they get. Even customers they would steal from if they got the opportunity.
Customers having to pay $10 cancellation fee in case their order has already been picked up by another driver or the stores closed or for whatever reason the order cannot be prepared how are you going to charge the customer $10 to cancel or order that they can't even receive. Crooks as far as I'm concerned they are crooks

On one recent occasion, I ordered two boxes of K cups, and a bag of Granny Smith apples. I was told it was delivered on the porch.
However, it never showed up and I was informed that they confirmed that the order never arrived. There was nothing they could do. I was out $25. Three nights ago, I ordered a McDonald's double cheeseburger meal with a large fry, and I got a free 10-piece nugget meal with a fry.
Both sets of fries were missing.
I was told that since they could not confirm that I didn't get the fries and eat them, they would not compensate me or refund any money. I have been a loyal customer with a 4.97 rating, and they just take money from me and my product, and don't do anything about it.

on the evening of 10/1/2024, I ordered 2 very simple rice bowls with a side of guacamoly and chip (qty 2). this order was going to be split between two people.
I instead got a driver who called to find out where I was then, she came up the stairs with one seem to be her little sibling to hand me a very light Uber bag. I said to the young lady, hey this bag seems kind of light huh? She replied, No what is your pin (in a sarcastic voice and no eye contact). She showed no concern for my displease in service and order.
I professionally in a kind voice gave her the pin. When I looked at the app, it had the confirmation tab waiting to be clicked for selection. I did not select it. Instead I called Uber customer support explained my issue and that also I did not tip the young rude lady.
Somehow she was able to get a tip of almost ten dollars without my confirmation. My friend noticed the chips was also hard and stale. It was to the point where is service was just flat out disrespectful. After calling back a third time(I got hung up for asking for a complaint to be filed with confirmation).
I have ordered from other place, I must admit it is not even close to being the first time they have messed up my ordered. I only order because it is the healthier option in this area. I got the wrong amount of food, hung up on by customer support three times and a rude delivery girl. You can't make this up.
After spending close to $50. We had to spend more on pizza.

Purchased a $100 Uber Eats gift card. It's a fake card.
Received no help from the CVS manager. Absolutely no assistance from Uber's support team either. There's no number to call for help. The text support is pathetic.
I've called and texted about 9 or 10 times. This has been an ongoing problem for 1 month. I'm a loyal Uber customer but was treated very badly over a refund!
It's a billion-dollar company with no loyalty to their customers over a simple refund. Unacceptable.

I work at Newark Airport. I took an Uber.
I think it was January 2. I'm not 100% sure it charged me $16 with change, and now it's giving me a balance of $808. For what reason? Number one, the driver was not polite.
Number two, the driver did not know where he was going.
The driver took a long route, made me late for work, and I've still been charged. I do not understand why.

If the driver says he does not have it, there is little that can be done. The terms of service when you signed up for the app, was that you would not leave property behind and if you did, the company and the driver are not responsible.
You can see by looking at all the other Uber and Lyft complaints on this website, that people leaving their phone behind is one of the top 3 complaints. I have had drivers tell me they are sick of people doing it and then expecting THEM to drop what they are doing, give up taking paid rides, burn their gas, and return people's phones on their time and at their expense. They have said they aren't doing anymore, it costs them money. Depending on where you live, the police may or not intervene.
I can say with certainty they won't spend much time on this. The police are probably sick of people leaving their phone in Ubers/Lyfts as well.

I still wish there was an avenue to have a conversation with customer service. Being cut off, "one and done" doesn't seem right.
